What else sets them apart from their competitors? Here we will look at how printers from the bizhub i-Series stack up against Canon iR ADVANCE series printers.

Konica Minolta bizhub C360i/C300i vs Canon iR ADVANCE Series Printers

The Konica Minolta bizhub i-Series multi-function printers and Canon iR ADVANCE multifunction printers are both business-class printers designed to improve your everyday operations, but which brand actually delivers?

The Konica Minolta bizhub C360i/C300i and the Canon iR ADVANCE series both have 10.1” multi-touch “tablet-like” user interfaces. Both brands allow for customization with apps, but only Konica Minolta provides direct app support.

Konica Minolta bizhub printers have a 250 GB SSD (solid state drive) with 8 GB of RAM, while this line of Canon printers has a 250 GB HDD (hard disk drive) with only 3-4 GB of RAM. The SSD used in Konica Minolta printers is encrypted via an algorithm based on US National Security Association (NSA) standards, making it much more secure than HHD. In fact, Konica Minolta is the only brand of printer that has never been hacked!

Businesses that do a lot of scanning will appreciate that both series provide OOXML scan support (pptx, docx, xlsx). It’s worth noting that the Konica Minolta bizhub iSeries allows for scanning to mailbox (1000 per user) while the Canon series only allows for 100 scans to mailbox per user.

The bizhub i-Series has letter/tri-fold/c-fold finishing capabilities, but none of the printers in Canon’s iR ADVANCE series do. If your business prints brochures, you’ll need a folding a separate folding machine to finish the job.

The bizhub i-Series has Canon’s iR ADVANCE series beat when it comes to Bluetooth, as well. Bluetooth pairing comes standard on this series of Konica Minolta printers, but it is an optional add-on for Canon. Both brands have wifi capabilities.
