It was another night of mirth and merriment as CEI participated in the third annual “Wrap It In Red” fundraiser at the Raleigh Country Club on December 8. The fundraiser benefits the “Me Fine” Foundation, an organization dedicated to making sure that the families of children fighting life-threatening illnesses do not have to worry about financial burdens in addition to worrying about their kids. CEI is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the “Me Fine” Foundation, as we believe that a key part of being a responsible and respectable local business is interacting with other local organizations for the betterment of all.
About the “Wrap It In Red” Party
The gala was generously hosted by the Raleigh Country Club and included such attractions as getting pictures taken with Santa, a DJ, a raffle, a Silent Auction, and delicious food and drink. Many different organizations, including the SPCA, chipped in to make the night a magical one for everyone in attendance, but especially for the families who struggle so much while their young loved ones are in the hospital. The little children really loved meeting Santa, and the adults enjoyed participating in the Silent Auction with gifts donated by local organizations like the North Carolina Symphony, Carolina Hurricanes, Durham Bulls, Carolina Mudcats, and other generous businesses.
Blake Alford, CEO of CEI had this to say: “We were very happy to be able to work with ‘Me Fine’ for the third year in a row. They’re a wonderful organization and they have a fantastic impact in the local hospitals. Our dollars and effort are obviously well spent with ‘Me Fine’ and we hope to continue our partnership in the future!”
