National Volunteer Week did not get away without our dedicated team at Strategic Systems – A Division of CEI showing a little volunteer ‘love’ by cleaning the SPCA of Wake County’s Food Pantry on April 6th. We believe serving animals, makes us better humans!
Spring-cleaning duty meant we took out food, cleaned spaces, sorted expired goods, then re-organized the food pantry to implement the shelter’s new system for sorting the diet-specific cat and dog food.
Mark Clark, an esteemed member of the CEI team, has been selected as Ambassador of the Year by three Triangle Chambers of Commerce: Apex, Holly Springs, and Morrisville.
Chamber Ambassadors promote and act as a representative for local businesses, expanding their relevance within the state and the nation. Boards and Chambers select the Ambassador of the Year based on event attendance, volunteer efforts, and member engagement activities. Lauren Umbdenstock of the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, said of Mark:
The leadership team at Strategic Systems – A Division of CEI, a division of CEI, encourages employees to give back to the community through its popular volunteer programs. The program allows team members to dedicate service days to local non-profits and provide paid quarterly service day opportunities for everyone on staff. Over the years, we worked with organizations such as Gigi’s Playhouse, Pretty in Pink Foundation, CASA, Interfaith Food Shuttle, Center for Volunteer Caregiving, MeFine Foundation, and Central Foodbank of North Carolina.
The CEI team was both thrilled and humbled to receive The 2017 Jeremiah Morris Community Steward Award, The award was presented to us on January 30th at The Morrisville Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony. We are proud to be recognized for our volunteer efforts in the community.
