woofstockStrategic Systems – A Division of CEI is fortunate to have employees that are committed to giving back to our community. Our Volunteer Program enables employees to do just that. In addition to our company-wide Service Day, which took place in April, our employees volunteered at the 2018 Wake County SPCA K9-3K Dog Walk and Woofstock on May 6, 2018. More than 2,000 people and nearly 800 dogs came together at the 2018 Dog Walk and Woofstock to give homeless pets have a voice.

The Wake County SPCA K9-3K Dog Walk and Woofstock is a yearly event to fundraise and raise awareness for homeless pets. The event features games, giveaways, and a 3K Dog Walk.

spca k9-3k dog walkOur volunteers set up a tent with a cornhole competition where attendees could win awesome prizes such as water bottles, t-shirts, and hats. We raised nearly $800 for the SPCA of Wake County. We did this by implementing in office fundraisers. The individual who raised the most money, got a free day of PTO. This is our 4th year participating in the walk and we plan to take part next year as well.

Part of the goal for this year’s Dog Walk & Woofstock event was to earn the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title of Most Dogs Wearing Bandanas! Unfortunately, the event fell short, but everyone had a great time. Teaming up with We Raleigh the event raised $200,000 to help give abused, neglected, sick, injured, and in-need pets the care they desperately need. Even though Woofstock is behind us, you can still help out the cause by donating!
